LEDA'S TIPS

Here we give a few tips to authors and almost authors. 

We gave a presentation to the New Zealand Society of Authors, an introduction to writing romance novels. In particular we discussed the importance of character development. as part of the workshop we asked the class to complete a Character Development worksheet. Get the worksheet here. In 2006 we presented a workshop at "Charmed and Dangerous", the conference of the Romance Writers of New Zealand. Our workshop was entitled "Writing Great Sex". Go here to view our workshop notes. [PowerPoint Slideshow, 120kB]. Please note our notes include language some may find offensive.

Cathy was quite at home at the conference, but Brent was a bit nervous at first talking to a room full of women (there weren't many men there) about writing great sex. We had fun in our workshop, with others reading out some of their work.
